NGF Introduces Four Environmental Ship Projects

Nice Green Ferries (NGF) continuous to work on environmental ship design and has introduced the core FOUR SHIP PROJECTS.

NGF is a company committed to the environment and zero emission maritime transportation in Nice, France and the wider Mediterranean region. With innovative and sustainable shipping solutions using renewable energy and the latest environmental technology, we have already begun to fulfil our mission of reducing CO2 emissions, noise and NOX between today, 2030, 2050 and beyond.

Ropax Cruise Ferry (135 m):

  1. Capacity: 1,200 passengers and 400 cars
  2. Transit speed: 16 kts
  3. Low/zero NOX/CO2 emissions
  4. Power sources: A variety of Wabtec (DF) diesels, Amogy power packs and batteries charged by wind mills and solar cells.
  5. Multifuel options: Ammonia/cracker/fuel cells and biofuel/MDO.

Luxury Cruise Ship (150 m):

  1. Capacity: 500 passengers
  2. Transit speed: up to 16 kts
  3. Low/zero NOX/CO2 emissions
  4. Power sources: A variety of ammonia/cracker/fuel cells, biofuel/MDO (dual fuel) and sun/wind/batteries (as required).

High-speed Aluminium Catamaran (40 m):

  1. Capacity: 300 passengers (or as required, with outdoor seats.)
  2. Transit speed: 30-36 kts
  3. Zero emission/electric drive for certain periods/distances (to be agreed).
  4. Power sources: Semi-electrically powered twin MJP water jets using fuel cells, diesel engines (DF) and batteries.
  5. Multifuel options: Ammonia, biofuel/MDO (enclosed in the two hulls).

Superfast RORO/RoPax (180 m):

  1. Vessel with a special, slender hull form designed to transport trucks, cars and passengers.
  2. Capacity: 1,500 lane meters for trucks, 400 cars on the lower deck and cabins for 200-1,000 passengers (as required).
  3. Transit speed: 35 kts
  4. Propulsion: MJP water jets
  5. Power plant: modern common rail MAN (DF) diesels, one Siemens (DF) gas turbine, fuel cells/batteries and wind mills.
  6. Can use multifuel: MDO/biofuel/ammonia/hydrogen (as required).
